Sing your heart out in Japanese!
The 3rd annual J-POP IDOL! CONTEST will take place on the main stage at Fort Mason Center! We have 6 finalists that have been chosen from the first round of video submission to come meet and compete on the main stage for the title of champion! The event will open with last year’s champions and power duo Chiisana & Fome warming up the stage, and resonating to the J-POP crowd – what it takes to be a champion at the very competitive singing event (and in Japanese!!) 2013 champion Gino will bring his stage presence to MC the event this year!
◉ How the contest works
“You do not have to be a pro to join this contest. You do not need to know how to speak Japanese. This contest is all about how well you can sing, and how you own the Japanese song you are going to deliver to the festival crowd! You will be judged by your ability to sing. You may even compete against native Japanese speakers – but fret not! Let the submission begin! ” (Your Japanese pronunciation is not at review.)
